How Invisalign works
Each set of aligners is custom made to move your teeth a small amount. You wear a set for a period of time, then switch to the next one, and your teeth move gradually toward the planned position. Because the aligners are clear, most people won’t notice you’re wearing them.
What Invisalign can help with

- Some bite problems, depending on the case
Not every case is a good fit for aligners. At your consultation we’ll look at your teeth and bite and tell you honestly whether Invisalign suits you. We don’t offer traditional braces at our office.
Living with aligners
- Wear them most of the day and night, taking them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth
- Brush before putting them back in so food isn’t trapped against your teeth
- Rinse and clean the aligners every day
- Expect some pressure for a day or two each time you switch to a new set
When treatment is finished, you’ll wear a retainer to keep your teeth from moving back.
Cost and insurance
Coverage for Invisalign varies by plan, and many plans don’t cover it for adults. We’ll explain the fees before you start and can send an estimate to your insurer. We bill most plans directly, and payment plans may be possible on a case by case basis.
