Happy Halloween from Kitchener Dentist Fairway Dental! This year, Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, 2026, which means a whole evening for costumes, trick-or-treating, and maybe a scary movie or two.
Our team hopes your night is full of laughs, great costumes and good company, from the folks handing out candy at the door to the families walking the neighbourhood.
Since we spend our days looking after smiles, we couldn’t resist sharing a few Halloween tips for your teeth:
- Save candy for after dinner, when your mouth is already making more saliva to help clean teeth.
- Limit sticky, chewy and sour candies. They stick to teeth, and the sour ones are acidic too.
- Skip the sugary pop and juice with your treats and reach for water instead.
- Don’t use your teeth to open wrappers or crack hard candy.
- Brush and floss before bed, no matter how tired everyone is.
A little balance goes a long way. Enjoying your favourite treats is part of the fun, and these small habits make a real difference for your teeth.
Please be safe tonight. Add some reflective tape to costumes, bring a flashlight and watch for cars.
If a Halloween treat leaves you with a broken tooth or a sore spot, call us at 519-893-9494 and we’ll take care of you.
Happy Halloween 2026! 🎃👻🍬
